DARAJA Partners at the Anticipation Hub’s 12th Global Dialogue Platform
On October 22nd, DARAJA partners from Sudan and Resurgence joined forces in a dynamic workshop at the Anticipation Hub’s Global Dialogue Platform in Berlin.
Session Focus:
“Trusting Information in Fragile and Conflict-Affected Situations (FCASs): How Insecurity and Grievance Shape Anticipatory Action.”
Together with speakers from International Water Management Institute (IWMI), International Committee of the Red Cross – ICRC, and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, Resurgence and Sudan Urban Development Think-Tank (SUDTT), showcased impactful, real-world examples from Sudan, Somalia, and beyond. The session demonstrated how Anticipatory Action (AA) is transforming early warning access and empowering vulnerable communities – saving lives and building resilience where it’s needed most.
In FCASs, where distrust and limited resources pose unique challenges, trust becomes essential. This session shared how DARAJA is breaking down barriers to early warnings and critical forecasting in Sudan, bridging the gap between information and action for communities and humanitarian agencies alike.
