Sought: Experienced Development Impact Evaluation Consultant
Sought by August 15th: Recommendations for Impact Evaluation Consultant for applications to two global scale up funds.
DARAJA, our award-winning city-community forecasting and early warning service and partnership, supports the climate information needs of communities living in urban informal settlements across the Global South.
The DARAJA Service has been shortlisted for scale-up financial support to reach the estimated 1 billion people living in urban informality currently underserved by weather and climate risk information providers by two global funds that operate across the Anglophone and Francophone international development space.
Resurgence, the originator of DARAJA, is seeking an experienced development impact evaluation consultant to support it in its final submissions to two global funds that, if successful, will involve deployments in Kenya (Mombasa), Senegal (Dakar) and Ethiopia (Addis Ababa).
The impact evaluation consultant needs to be experienced in experimental design and have expertise to develop a methodology that involves:
- Identifying control groups, designing evaluation experiments, ideally involving randomised control trial (RCT) approaches;
- Defining sampling frames , power calculations , data sources to measure impact outcomes and statistical analysis methodologies.
The consultant needs to have developed and implemented such methodologies in Global South contexts.
Resurgence plans to identify a consultant by August 15th in order to proceed to final submission to both funds by September 5th.
