We’re delighted to welcome Scott Williams to the Resurgence Board.
Scott brings to us his deep expertise on finance and systemic risk.
Previously he undertook ground-breaking work on the United Nations Global Assessment Report on Disaster Risk Reduction (GAR). This work, along with his analysis of systemic risk related to COVID-19 in a series of papers he co-authored in 2020, remains highly relevant to our work under DARAJA and to our wider risk consulting offering.
Scott advises widely, including for the UNDP and UNDRR in a range of areas that currently include the High Level Dialogue on Energy, the High Level Initiative on Financing for Development in the Era of COVID and Beyond.
Scott is the driving force behind the current Zero Step Warm Data global experiment with the International Bateson Institute creating new ways for people to be more able to perceive the relationships and interdependencies within every aspect of life and to shift perceptions of what is possible in meeting the complexity of challenges we all now face.
Scott will be applying his experience in risk perception and risk management to help us scale our DARAJA service and partnership in Africa and beyond.
