Mark Harvey is the Founder and CEO of Resurgence and an expert in the data strategy and communications aspects of city resilience. He has over two decades experience in civil contingency, climate risk and resilience issues collaborating with agencies such as the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, UN OCHA, the World Bank, UNEP and BBC Media Action.
Mark has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University, where he won a William Starr Innovations Fellowship, and where he studied urban resilience and risk issues. He is also a co-founder of the Communicating with Disaster Affected Communities (CDAC ) Network, and the Climate Change Media Partnership led by Internews of which he is the former CEO for Europe.
To deliver projects for cities and local authorities, Resurgence works with a core group of urban specialists, media and communications experts, and open data experts drawn from the Open Data Institute community.
